life is too short

at about 5am on the 13th of may, i was awoken from sleep by the loud sound of the telephone ringing..
*phone calls at this time can only mean that your drunk friend is outside your house and doesn't know why they're there or just pure bad news*
this time round is not a drunken friend..i learned from the phone call that my dear cousin firmin had passed away..i was in the state of shock..i didn't know how to react to the news.if i felt this way,imagine how my grandmother felt or how his parents felt..

i didn't really know this cousin of mine very well..i can barely remember having any memories of him..appart from him coming over for a visit during chinese new year.have seen some pictures of him taken when we were little and all..i force myself to remember what happened then but nothing came..
*so much for having an elephant memory*
its not nice mentioning why we're not close over the internet..if you're curious and want to know,ask me and if i feel like it,i might tell you..

all this got me thinking that life is too short ...too short to be spent hating someone or staying angry with a person...its too short to be spent wondering everyday whether its the right time to tell that special someone how much they mean to you and how much you love them.

go and ask for forgiveness from the person you've hurt..forgive those who have hurt you...tell that special someone that you love them..tell your parents that you love them and your siblings too..hug those you feel like hugging..kiss those you feel like kissing?? *haha..okay maybe not..*

to my dear cousin firmin...i'm sorry we didn't get to know each other better and all..we probably spent more time together when we were little and i must have been the spoilt brat that played with your toys and only return it after its spoilt ..i'm sorry..you know we love you...
