As expected, I had a great time in KL.
I did so many things in 5 days and was so sleep deprived by the end of it.
My family and I even managed to squeeze in a quick one night trip to Penang.

I'm just documenting what I did for memory sake.

A short conversation with Daddy on the way back from Penang when we were delayed for 2 hours,
In 20 years time, we'll talk about this day and laugh about it.
In 20 years time, I might not even be here..I'm 58 now you know.

That's when I realised how short life really is.
On the 20th of July 2013, I would have been in Australia for 5 years.
5 years that have flown by so quickly.
Just 4 times of that 5 years would make it 20 years.
Will my kids (that I don't have yet) still have grandparents when they graduate from university?
Will I have much reason to go back to Malaysia then?
All that calculation and thoughts were running through my head.
I just sat quiet in the back seat trying to hide my tears.

Life is too short to be spent on fighting battles that are not worth fighting for.
Someone once told me, its not about the quantity but the quality for relationships you have.
I've vowed to make it a point to get rid of all negativity that come my way.
There are so many other things to work on.

During this trip, bonds were strengthened, friendships rekindled, beautiful and bittersweet memories made.
I realise how blessed I am that I have a bunch of amazing people in my life.
I'm so touched by the surprise visits, the simple thoughtfulness and for those who are working, the willingness to sacrifice precious sleeping time just to see me.
My family who welcome me with open arms.
For making a short trip up to Penang just because I wanted to go for a friend's wedding.
For taking me to places to eat the food I wanted to eat.
Daddy, for leaving me your car to drive because I wouldn't drive the other car.
Mummy, for not nagging at me because I forgot/misplace my IC and running around with me to get all of it sorted.
The list goes on....

I complain a hell lot but when I think things through, I realise,
I am one Lucky Girl!
